- GRADES: There are NO drop grades and there are NO make up grades for ANY of the four (4) Group Presentations/Activities. You MUST BE PRESENT to earn points. If you are absent for any opportunity or group presentation, your grade on that item = 0.
- OPPORTUNITIES: There are “Opportunities” throughout the semester that the student can earn. Opportunities may involve QUIZZES on content material, DEMONSTRATIONS of laboratory skills, RESULTS from lab work done in class, ARTICLE REVIEWS, or any other assessment assigned/administered by your laboratory instructor. Two (2) of the lowest OPPORTUNITY scores will be dropped. There are NO MAKE Ups for OPPORTUNITY POINTS
- LAB ATTENDANCE/PARTICIPATION: The laboratory setting is a place where you have the opportunity to APPLY your knowledge and skills. Therefore ATTENDACE is imperative for your success in science lab. Fifteen POINTS (15) will be awarded to you over the semester based upon your ATTENDANCE and ACTIVE PARTICPATION in lab and in clean-up!
- More than TWO (2) laboratory absences WILL RESULT in a grade of WF.
